Operations Coordinator

Location: Bundoora, VIC

Position Overview:

As an Operations Coordinator at MC Labour you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our business. You will be the key point of contact for both our clients and our workforce, managing daily operations with precision and a strong customer focus. Your expertise in construction and/or labour hire industry practices will be highly valued as you help drive our company's success.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Communication: Maintain regular contact with clients to understand their needs, address concerns, and ensure their satisfaction.

Workforce Management: Coordinate the allocation of labour resources to client projects, matching skills and availability with client requirements.

Detail-Oriented: Ensure accuracy in all administrative tasks, such as record-keeping, scheduling, and documentation.

Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service to clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and building strong relationships.

Computer Literacy: Utilize our software systems efficiently for scheduling, reporting, and communication.

Construction Knowledge: Apply your construction industry knowledge to effectively manage and allocate labour resources.

Labor Hire Industry Experience: Leverage your experience in the labour hire industry to streamline operations and enhance our service quality.

On Call Roster: On Call weekend roster, 1 weekend every 5 weeks. 1 week day night every 5 weeks. Attractive remuneration is paid in addition to salary when on call.

 

Qualifications:

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Strong attention to detail.

Computer literacy, including proficiency in relevant software and tools. Experience with FastTrack highly regarded

Customer service-oriented mindset.

Prior experience in the construction industry.

Preferred: Experience in the labour hire industry.

We are looking to appoint an experienced Payroll Officer to join our team in Bundoora.

Payroll Officer

Location: Bundoora, VIC

We are looking to appoint an experienced Payroll Officer to join our team.  This is a full-time role working in our Bundoora office.

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the primary responsibilities of this role will be to assist a weekly payroll for approximately 800 employees (1200 jobs) is processed timely and accurately, ensuring our employees are paid on time. This includes employees who work in building and construction, traffic management and the security industry.

Key Responsibilities include

  • Manual Set up of new starters
  • Update of employee cards
  • Data entry of hours worked from timesheets
  • Communicating with candidates to confirm hours worked
  • Responding to employee Payroll queries
  • Understanding entitlements based on EBA / Awards

The Person:

  • Prior experience in a similar role processing high volume payroll is essential
  • Able to understand EBA agreements and Modern Award
  • Strong alpha and numeric keyboard skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Flexible and demonstrates a willingness to respond to changing work requirements at peak periods
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Experience with FastTrack (highly desirable)
