Every Colour Counts: How the MC Labour Family Celebrated Harmony Day

This Harmony Day, the MC Labour team came together in the way that defines us best, sharing good food, genuine laughter, and a collective pride in the diverse backgrounds that make up our workforce.

A Table Full of Stories

Our celebration centered around a vibrant potluck lunch, where every dish reflected a personal story and a cultural connection. The spread included Sri Lankan chicken and cheese kottu, delicate Lebanese sweets, fresh Vietnamese spring rolls, and a classic Australian mud cake. Together, these dishes represented the many cultures and traditions that shape the MC Labour community.

“At MC Labour, our people are our greatest asset, and our people come from everywhere. That is not incidental to our success; it is the foundation of it. When we celebrate each other’s backgrounds, we are not just being inclusive, we are being smart. Diverse teams are stronger teams, and the MC family is proof of that every single day.”
Marc Lunedei, Founder and Managing Director, MC Labour Group

Our Success Is Our People

This belief sits at the core of everything we do. With more than 30 years in operation and a workforce of over 30,000 people across Australia, MC Labour has grown because of the individuals behind it, people from every culture, background, and corner of the world who bring their skills, experiences, and identities to work each day. Harmony Day gives us the opportunity to celebrate that.

Celebrating Every Day, Not Just One

While Harmony Day is marked once a year, the values it represents guide us every day. Each time we place a worker, welcome a new team member, or support a client, we reinforce the kind of organisation we strive to be, one that embraces diversity, fosters inclusion, and recognises the strength that comes from difference.

To everyone who contributed food and culture to this year’s Harmony Day celebration: thank you. You are the reason MC Labour continues to grow stronger, together.
